If you have only purchased Olive Oil at the local grocery store…you will be amazed at the difference between store olive oil and this..this is so good..so fresh..such a distinct taste..

If you have been to Italy and had the real DOB oilive oil (the DOB stands for originating in the country), you will feel you have gone back to Italy. I will order again and if I do purchase locally, I will, definitely, look for the DOB symbol on the product or mentioned. “

A True Gem,December 21, 2011 By Karin_NYC

This Affiorato is my new favorite olive oil. The aroma is powerful, and the taste is exquisite. I’m glad it comes in a dark bottle because: along with heat and oxygen, light will shorten the shelf life of edible oils – including olive oil. The quality is high because it’s from the ‘first pressing’ and the best olive oil is produced the first time an olive is pressed.

Its bright green color is not present in most olive oils which are usually pressed when the olives are black. Upon opening, it smells like fresh picked olives. Along with its color, the taste is vibrant and distinct, with an excellent peppery component. It’s well-balanced with none of the tastes dominating.

While you certainly could cook with it, it would be better showcased as a finish or olive oil for dipping. We enjoyed it drizzled over fresh pasta and over grilled fish. Other oils I tried tasted flat or watery in comparison. This oil is nutty, grassy and delicious — perfect for dipping and paninis. “

  • From Coratina and other minor varietal olives grown in Apulia, Italy
  • From hand-picked olives and exclusively through cold-pressed process
  • Fresh and earthy taste, reminiscent of fresh green herbs, with bitter finishes
  • Presented by Chef Joe Ciminera in the PBS cooking show “Taste this TV!”
  • Winner Silver Medal – Los Angeles Extra-Virgin Olive Oil Awards

This olive oil comes from hand-picked olives from the Coratina and other minor varieties growing in Puglia, or in the heel of the boot. After cold pressing the olives in ancient stone mills, the first olive oil that rises spontaneously to the top is collected manually, resulting in an exquisite olive oil, with a bright green color and an intensely fresh and earthy taste. Best with steak, grilled vegetables, bruschetta and pasta. Bottle size is 8.5 FL. oz. (250 ML).

Great for food & skin…,May 11, 2012 By VO

Recently I was at my doctor’s office to have a couple of treatments to make my skin wonderful & I was told for extra moisturizing at night, use a GOOD quality olive oil. Tried it w/this olive oil & amazing. It’s been 2 months now of using it @ night, my skin loves it & not at all greasy- which I was concerned about. I’m still a bit surprised at how great it feels. Goodbye expensive night creams. “

Delicious Olive Oil,November 12, 2011 By Marta S

I had the chance to taste this Affiorato olive oil and I have to say was the best I tried in a very long time. I am Italian born and raised in Italy and addicted to olive oil. I eat it with everything: salad, pasta, rice, beans and often just with a pinch of salt and a slice of bread. I first had Affiorato Extra-virgin Olive Oil with a caprese salad, and I thought was fantastic.

Tasteful with a touch of fresh green herbs. I then tried it separately, with a bit of salt and a warm piece of focaccia and I really loved it! Again I really think it strikes the right balance between strength of taste and bitterness. A true gem. Highly recommended. “
