Keenan Farms In-Shell Pistachio, Naturally Tree Opened, Roasted with Sea Salt, 28-Ounce Jars (Pack of 2)Tasty snack,February 25, 2012 By Purplenails (Beach Haven Pk, NJ United States)

I have ordered these Keenan pistachios more than once and really enjoy them. They are a healthy snack and so enjoyable. Love the bottles too. I use them to store rice as the bottle is air tight and keeps rice very dry, I order the 2 pack.

I like that. They use sea salt so they are not overly salted. If some are harder to open just take a half shell and use that to pry it open. That works! “

GREAT PRODUCT!,May 15, 2012 By HappyTrader (MN)

We eat a lot of pistachios and these are the best. Used to buy Wonderful (and other brands) but then found they are not USA, too many are not cracked and they are smallish.

Keenan’s, on the other hand, are large, open, perfectly salted with sea salt and grown in the USA. The price is not much different for the best. My family will only be buying Keenan’s from now on. “

Best pistachios I ever had & most consistent,May 14, 2009 By airfirehorse (Outer Space)

I buy pistachios a LOT. When I say a lot, I mean about once a month or so. And as far as I’m concerned Keenan is the best. I get very few “bad ones” in the entire container, whether it’s this one or the plastic bags I also buy. The saltiness is perfect, the size is perfect, and Keenan really knows how to sell in bulk.

I just don’t bother looking at other brand names, though I am sure they are fine. But another thing to note is that Keenan’s tend to be cheapest per pound. I did all the math for all the brands here on Amazon and I just get the most for my money with these or the large 32-ounce bags.

  • Natural and not dyed or bleached
  • Naturally tree-opened
  • Essence of a fully ripened fruit
  • Creates a satisfied and happy customer

When pistachios fully mature on the tree the kernel inside the shell enlarges and pushes against the soft shell before shell hardening to split the shell open. This is the essence of a naturally opened pistachio – a fully ripened nut. Nature does all the work.

Keenan Farms has always believed that a naturally tree-opened pistachio creates a satisfied and happy customer. That’s why Keenan Farms does not blend artificially or mechanically-opened pistachios with naturally tree-opened pistachios.

I love these nuts,January 27, 2012 By D. Thomas “scooter” (Japan)

A good deal and received them fresh. These don’t expire until 2013. where i’m at these cost twice as much and aren’t as fresh. I share them with co-workers and they love them. They have enough salt on them for my tastes. I like the plastic container for storage as well. The bags I usually get are a pain to seal and keep the nuts fresh. Out of one container I’ve had roughly ten nuts not cracked but no biggie. thanks to amazon for free shipping. “

Ordering Again,February 10, 2012 By ninjamunky85

Keenan Farms pistachios are my favorite. Better than wonderful. Just the right amount of salt. They don’t leave your hands feeling salty like the others. Only a few that weren’t open. Some empty shells, but the nuts were at the bottom. Will keep ordering, because I’ve yet to find anything better, and they’re a great price :)
