Delicious!,March 21, 2012 By Crayoned Out
” One day, I was making a favorite bean and sausage soup and I started counting up the sodium content. For a “healthy” soup, one serving contained about 70% of the daily sodium requirements.
Yikes! I jumped on Amazon and started searching for low sodium broth and beans. These beans were the ones I bought. I love them! they are delicious and are a fraction of a day’s worth of sodium per serving (3.5 servings per can).
And the added bonus is that the can liners are BPA free! The beans are a bit softer than other canned beans and if you, like me, like to cook up a big batch of soup and then freeze single servings for future meals, be aware that the soft beans get even softer after freezing/thawing/heating. “

Low salt and healthy,June 27, 2010 By A. Thompson (Dallas, TX USA)
“The doctor told me to lose weight or I’m going on insulin in 3 months, so I’m desperately looking for healthy food choices and not worried so much about taste. With about 385 calories per can; 35 calories from fat; 157mg of sodium (7% RDA); 17g protein; and a whopping 28g of fiber, these cans fit the bill. Yes, they don’t have a great flavor, but mixed with some cooked quinoa or brown rice and added tuna or sardines, these are very good. “
No BPA. Good vegan substitute for ricotta.,January 18, 2009 By Lisa M. Mims (Austin, TX United States)
“Why on earth would you eat these, particularly in large quantities? You can make a vegan, gluten free ricotta substitute with this, lemon juice and canola oil. Mix up the ingredients and then layer them between strips of Tinkyada lasagna. Bake for awhile in some tomato sauce, and you have fabulous vegan, gluten-free lasagna.“
